Second-Place Showdown
In honor of the 43rd President of the United States (heh, heh, heh),
The Al Gore Cup is a forum for teams that finished second and most
likely feel that they're more deserving than all of the other
first-place teams to be in the championship bracket.
Teams are seeded 1-4 based on regular season records and play a
best-of-seven semifinal round followed by another seven game series to
crown the winner.
The winner receives a bonus of 1 million Benchwarmer Bucks.
The runner-up gets 500,000.

The 2006 Entrants (in order of seeding):
- Seattle (83-67) - Led the Ruth Division for much
of the first half of the season. Most wins in franchise
history. League Power Index: 4
- San Francisco (80-70) - BWB Champs of 2001.
Started the season slow, but played great down the stretch.
Power Index: 8
- Norwalk (77-73) - Strong contender in the Wagner
Division for most of the year. Power Index: 7
- D-Town (75-75) - BWB Champs in 2004. Came
up just a bit short in the push for the Cobb Division. Power
Index: 9
Semifinals - D-Town wins in 6 games, San Francisco wins in 7.
Finals - D-Town vs. San Francisco. They split the season
series 3-3.
